Fixed-Speed to Variable-Speed Compressor Savings

For the last 20 years, this Ohio-based automobile parts manufacturer was running a fixed-speed air compressor for their production process. When it came time to upgrade, we introduced them to Quincy Compressor’s QGV series of rotary screw compressors. The QGV is a variable-speed compressor with a specially designed drive that controls and adjusts operating speeds accordingly. This delivers more constant pressure, protects against power surges, and lowers overall energy consumption.  The customer loves their new compressed air system and is already experiencing part-load energy savings as the machine is running in the 38-45% range under normal production.
