With 6 locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Virginia, Reed is strategically located to provide a comprehensive product, design and service solution to meet and exceed customer requirements in the areas of compressed air systems, finishing and fluid handling applications, and critical torque assembly tools. Currently the company has over 4,000 active customers and 100 employees.
Originally founded in 1948 in Hanover, PA as a small automotive aftermarket distributor by Charles and Elizabeth Reed, the company was incorporated in 1964 and transitioned to the industrial market. Company President, Bob Shields, remarked, “We have reached this milestone through the efforts of our dedicated employees and a culture of customer service that was engrained by our founders. Additionally, the products, system design and related services we offer have evolved technically over the years to address customer needs. Now in this new era of Internet-of-Things (IoT) with emphasis on controls, monitoring of data and the ability to integrate with customer devices and systems, our products and people can provide a sustainable, innovative solution for our customers.”
In celebration of its 70th year of business, Reed is unveiling a new corporate brand identity that reflects the company’s future mission and goals. Included in the new branding is a redesigned company logo and tagline.
Additionally, the company is in the process of updating the company website (www.chreed.com) and will be promoting several information initiatives throughout the year.
