Air Systems - Timer Drains, Demand Drains and Oil / Water Seperators from Air Systems .

Air Systems provides drains and traps like timer drains, demand drains and oil / water seperators as a complete solution for saving invaluable compressed air.

Timer Drains

Timer drains are electrically operated units in which an adjustable timer periodically opens a valve to remove accumulated condensate. Timer drains are basic components used in most compressed air systems because they provide an inexpensive, reliable means of removing condensate without having to manually open drains valves. Timer drains are used on filters, air receivers, air dryers, separators, aftercoolers, and other compressed air system components. All models are designed with solid-state controls for reliability. Several types of valves and timers are used to fit the customer's specific needs.

Demand Drains

Demand Drains (also known as Zero Air Loss drains) operate only when the holding vessel fills with condensate and activates a level sensor. The drain is designed to close before any air loss can occur. This reduces energy consumption and operating costs, eliminates the noise associated with timer drains that stay open too long, and eliminates possible system pressure fluctuations. All of this more than offsets the higher cost of these devices. ASP Industries has several innovative designs to accommodate applications up to 100,000 cfm and 20,000 HP.

Oil / Water Seperators

Oil/Water Separators are specifically designed for compressor condensate and to bring discharges into compliance with environmental regulations. Provisions of the Clean Water Act prohibit the discharge of oil-laden condensate to surface waters, sanitary sewers, or wastewater treatment plants. As a result, ASP Industries has developed a wealth of application knowledge on treating the different types of compressor lube oils.
